In the last years, Sustainable Development has become a major stake for companies and public services. Many sophisticated Corportate Social Responsibility policies have been implemented.

The economic crisis may reverse this situation, making environmental and social responsibility policies no longer a priority in comparison to financial emergencies : CSR policies are quite often seen as costly, they rarely lead to short-term benefits, and, in the end, they dont really seem necessary for companies immediate survival.

On the other hand, these CSR policies are supposed to reinforce firms governance, help them manage risks, lay the ground for long-term healthy conditions, and lead them to... "sustainable" development...
